Is Captiol City gymnastics/Dave Lamb still teaching Uechi in the Lincoln, NE area? Capitol's website is gone-the URL is parked with an ad site.

THanks!

Hi CAS, this is Glenn in Lincoln,
Yes he is. Not sure what address your trying, but http://ccuechi-ryu.tripod.com/ is still out there (albeit not updated in over 4 years).
402-464-9692 is the number for the gym where classes are held, they can get you in touch with him if you need. Or I can pass along your contact info to him if you want, I'm just hesitant to give out personal contact info for someone else on a public forum without their permission!

I'm just a lowly hachi-kyu in Uechi, and it's been so long I can't even do Kanshiwa anymore.

Can you make it to Lincoln? Dave Lamb and company are good people.

Too bad I didn't know you last time I was in Omaha.

Jason,

The gym is on the northeast side of Lincoln just off I-80; depending on what part of Omaha you live in and how close to I-80 you are, you'd probably have a quicker drive getting to the gym than I do since I live on the opposite side of Lincoln and have what seems like a hundred lights between me and it. :)

It's not a short drive by any means, but definitely something to look into.

Getting back to this thread-wow

Im glad to hear that he is hale and around. I got a really good reference for them from my Doane college instructor when I took a survey of martial arts class at Lincoln Karate Clinic.

The reason I was asking about Dave is that I really enjoyed the uechi style that was predominant in my survey class. There is a Sei Shin Khan dojo (run by Timothy ? as an offshoot of Uechi?) on 48th that is a few blocks away, but the style is a newer style and I really would rather do traditional and not get caught up in 'mcdojo' karate. (No offense to anyone here-ive just read some real horror stories about not doing your research)
