The reality of evil, and the symbolism of religion

This is Dave Young's Forum.
Can you really bridge the gap between reality and training? Between traditional karate and real world encounters? Absolutely, we will address in this forum why this transition is necessary and critical for survival, and provide suggestions on how to do this correctly. So come in and feel welcomed, but leave your egos at the door!

I believe that good and evil don't exist. It's simply because It's all about human conceptions or idea. To do good, sometimes you need to be bad. To do bad, sometimes you need to be good. It's like a thief stealing items from rich people then giving it to poor people. Like white lies, but you still lie to yourself or to others to avoid truth. Try to be on the center, you will know that these two don't exist. -James

My theory is that the one God created more than one religion to save us from the tyranny of any one religion.......
God made man, made made religion. Man made the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church made repositories of information. The Catholic Church spread literacy. The Catholic Church did alot of good things, and alot of bad things. Then man got tired of religion, and embraced Socialism, and did alot of bad things. Then man dropped all pretense of belief in anything except himself. And then he stopped believing in himself. And God watched as man set himself adrift.

Yeah, I used to think some pretty harsh things about the Catholic Church. But they're just another human institution, as flawed as any of us.
