I find the last image oddly appropriate; appa always had a wise old black man vibe to him, i just never realized it until now.

I had bigger issue with making fire nation brown.

how are they going to make the head dresses not look weird.

on someone who is supposed to be this guys dad.

Here is my problem: The casting is retarded. A white kid as aang? A brown guy(im assuming is shamalan(spelling yeah)) as zuko? No scar? Where the hell is his scar?

I loved the show until the last season, when it seemed to lose most of what made it unique as a show. Martial arts gone in favor of DBZ magic fights, Disney-esque ending, Aang turns out to be a total pussy...color me "meh."

Dear God, man, what did you expect, Aang to rip the Pheonix King's spine out and shove it down his gullet?
I loved most of the last season, especially the play they watched, and the two Comet episodes. I thought the resolution was pretty appropriate for the characters. I just don't have any idea what DBZ magic fights are, I guess...

Any way you cut it, a live action film isn't going to be able to compete with three seasons of animated fun. And almost every episode was good. I haven't had that much fun since watching the complete season of Firefly.
Life begins & ends cold, naked & covered in crap.

No didn't expect aang to kill the king. But i felt the way it closed...a little to quick.

I liked the play episode too.
But it the whole last season felt really rushed. Maybe i could be wrong, but thats how it felt. I really think they could have spent more time, hell even one more series(maybe all that anime has spoiled me, but hey, most anime is only 26 episodes long)

Basically, DBZ throwing super fire balls, flying with super magic and power levels. Most of avatar had the pa kua, tai chi and other systems show up made me go "hey look, it's taiji! Or look it's pa kua!"
(the last fight with zuko and his sister was good though, love how they showed him bring his uncles re-direction against her)

Of course, it's to be expected for it to go in that direction, considering how aang completed his training.

It's not that it's live action, i know it can't compete with three seasons of animated fun.

BUUUUT they could atleast make the charecters look kind of like you know...the charecters(this movie will be superior to dragonball)

Man, i hope that brown zuko thing is just a joke or something.

They should make a gargoyles movie. That whole series was awesome. The last season for that sucked too mostly because the main writer left, but he has a comic now and has totally erased the last season and put it in his own vision. WAAAAY better the the Goliath chronicles(season 3)
