Tiger did what Tiger did because the hyper wealthy can in some parts of the dark world. (And when you have a tight prenup, well...) What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Or so it was supposed to be until two of the skanks got into a cat fight. A National Enquirer article, a golf club, and a wrecked Escalade later, and Tiger Woods is tiger bait for the ravenous media.

It probably wouldn't have been that bad, had Tiger not made a billion selling himself as a near-perfect human and role model. But you can't make a living as Mother Teresa and secretly live like Charles Barkley. Sooner or later, karma's going to get you.

Even JFK was a super bad boy, but the press winked and nodded back then. Now they can't wait to air the dirty laundry.

But don't shed a tear for Tiger. The PGA needs him. He brings home the bacon for himself, his family, and golf in general. Otherwise nobody would ever watch the sport.

I generally watch all the Sunday morning talk shows, and catch up on the finer points of politics and life via lively discussions.

George Will is one of my favorites.

In ABC's "This Week" with host George Stephanopoulos, George Will had a wonderful comment that captured what I felt.
Tiger Woods is a really good golfer and people are going to pay to see him do that. And people are going to forgive him and they are going to quit looking at him as an exemplar. Remember, no telling how many home runs Babe Ruth would have hit if he’d gone to bed a little earlier and a little more often with Mrs. Ruth.
Amen!
