This was my review posted on Fandago.
Great movie; intrusive politics
by Blumantis

After seeing the previews and listening to my friends, I came to this movie with great trepidation. Allegedly the movie was anti capitalist, anti military, pro eco-Nazi, and in general a white liberal guilt trip.

The special effects were stunning. I easily got lost in the movie, even though it was at least half animation. The transitions from real to animation were seamless. Given my penchant for seeing what they are doing rather than what they wish to portray, that's quite a compliment.

The eco-Nazi stuff was there, but not quite that bad. The movie reminded me just a bit of Dances with Wolves, but wasn't in-your-face like The Secret of NIMH. There was *A* bad corporation and *A* misguided military leader. The scientists were the "good guys" without being Al Gore politicians. The science fiction was excellent - particularly the parts about mind/body transfer and the planet's plant life inter-connectivity.

I saw this with my son (11). Great family movie! A pleasant experience.
One final thought... The political overtones reminded me a bit of reading Kurt Vonnegut novels as a teenager. Fun stuff... My mom (Catholic) would get upset at the overpopulation politics of that era. But it's difficult to argue with Vonnegut's imagination - even if he starts repeating himself from novel to novel.

sort of blown away that they actually called the magic metal "Unobtainium."

And for some reason, I fond Michelle Rodriguez hot. that scene where she does her heroic thing and she's running through the hallway in a white tank top...hawt..

And she's not particularly hot... because of her weird brow/forehead neanderthal brow thing going on..

Anime fans would love this movie
Arjuna:

The Nav'ii tentacle rape all the animals and plants

Some fans were probably thinking.....

Yes, I did think about being loved by the hair tentacles.
Yes, I did find Weaver's avatar attractive.
Yes, I did dream that my wife and I were blue aliens and we took turns controlling each other during sex via tentacle / anal links.

I think the litte "bonding" tendrils that came out of the female alien's ponytail would make a good strapon substitute.

Also, since there's little reason to believe that the convergent evolution of the humans and Navi would extend to procreation, the proper way for the sex scene to go:

"Oh John Smith Jake Sulley, let us be mated."
"Aww yeah, time for some blue-hot tail."
"My womb lance has protruded for you, are your seminal tubes filled?"
"Wait, what?"
"Now move your heart so I can safely pierce your chest and ****** out the semen."
"AARRGGHH!!"

Joking. It's not exactly how im describing it. It's actually pretty cool. Just the anime/hentai part of me keeps seeing that. Too much japanese media and comics.

She has a great body. But she should avoid scowling.

Oh I don't know... I think she comes across as sexy - even when she's playing the b1tch. I personally like a smart, capable, and ball busting woman. Just because she's that way "on the job" doesn't mean she can't play another role when not "on the job."

Personally I say she can't hide that inner beauty, no matter how hard she tries. But then that's me. I have six sisters - all of whom are professionals. I just see women differently.

Jack Nicholson is an amazing actor, isn't he?

I will say that you're one of the few in these past few days who hasn't missed some of my accidentally-on-purpose playing with the English language. Jack's character? About as subtle as a bull in a China shop.

Interesting one, too. Sort of a abstract/conceptual palindrome.

Palindrome

Post by Van Canna »

1. A word, phrase, verse, or sentence that reads the same backward or forward. For example: A man, a plan, a canal, Panama!
2. A segment of double-stranded DNA in which the nucleotide sequence of one strand reads in reverse order to that of the complementary strand.

Thanks for the new word for my vocabulary, Mike :D

Or how about some 'palindromic' BS

You're welcome. It's a bit of a stretch here, as I'm not talking about reversing the sentence itself, rather reversing one's point of view when reading it.

Here's where I first heard it--the famous dead parrot sketch

Its not the attitude that bothers me, just how her head looks when she scowls.

Otherwise, lots of hotness.

Was she in ROME as well? That chick who comes in the second seasons Gia(I know my spelling is off)

EDIT: Because i REALLY liked her in that show...assuming it was her.
