Ebook Description:
This is not about writing technique. It is an introduction to the world of violence. To the parts that people don’t understand. The parts that books and movies get wrong. Not just the mechanics, but how people who live in a violent world think and feel about what they do and what they see done.

This book is a must-have for two sets of people: the folks who want to learn about the alien world of violence before they write about it, and the folks who think they already understand that world. Neither will be disappointed, and both will come away with more lessons than they expect.
Rory has been to darker places than most of us will ever visit, and he's thought deeply about his time in those places. What's more, he's written about what he's learned in a way that really resonates.
As with Mr. Perry, this is the third of Rory's books I've read. I'm already waiting for his next. While I wait, there's plenty more knowledge to mine from this one.
