Thanks to all the many teachers and many, many participants who made this year's SummerFest both memorable, educational and most importantly, lots of fun!

Now that we have found the perfect site for the event and have secure the first weekend in August date, we will be able to make the event even better next year!

Again. . . Many thanks

Thank YOU Sensei for continuing to put on the event. Most people who have been doing this for as many years as you are looking to simplify, but you continue to keep the flame of Summerfest going. It takes a ton of work to put this on, not to mention the stress. Your efforts are appreciated on this end from all of us.
Nice to see the event growing again.
And as always, great to see my Uechi-ryu friends and family.

Dear George,

This is codespeak for 'Please don't retire because NONE of us want this important but thankless task every year.' Those of us who run dojos, have run tournaments, or have sponsored camps understand the tremendous work and leadership it takes to keep this going.

That goes for Susan too!

Good times at the camp. Most of the usual super-experts were there, and there was plenty of opportunity to exchange information and recharge the batteries. Other than my own participation, I got some personal feedback and advice that may result in at least one martial periodical publication. Without these exchanges, we plateau; with them we grow in ways we can't imagine.

If anyone has video clips or interesting photographs, I would appreciate getting copies for the website. I'm especially looking for some good shots of the "Impact" challenge and pictures of people hitting "BOB".

Thanks,
GEM

My video camera broke - probably because I packed it in my checked luggage - and I was unable to video tape any of the seminars or Masters Celebration.

I gave permission to a number of participants to video the event and asked them to send me copies. I'm hoping that everyone who has clips will email me copies. (gmattson@uechi-ryu.com)

If you have anything you wish to send me that is over 1 meg, please send me an email and I'll send you my "YouSendIt" mailbox email link. This program compresses the large files and makes sure they get to me.

Again, many thanks to all who supported this year's camp.
