Interesting point he makes regarding the limited striking surface of the naked fist as opposed to gloved hands of boxers.
I noted on the video comments (NOT
from the demonstrator)the myth of driving the nose into the brain with a palm heel is still in existence.

While at Master Gushi's seminar in Joe Graziano's dojo...with Mark Breslford and his wife present...I asked ...through Mark's wife...Master Gushi how the movement should be done as to height...

His reply was..."you must go over the mountain before coming down with the strike" ...

What was Master Gushi implying?

I suppose the trajectory of either strike with the right hand must take account of the opponent's left arm in one way or another. Either one most go over it, if striking from outside his guard, or the raising motion must clear it, if striking from inside. It can also be a cover for an attack on that side.

I also noticed Gushi’s ending which is interesting as he explained at the seminar, that there is no left hand block after the kokoshiken...the left hand [palm] is to be slammed into the right shoulder of the opponent so as to rip the clavicle out in a finish move_ after the kokoshiken penetrates into the hollow behind the clavicle bone.

This is one hell of a sanseiryu performance by master Gushi.

Also listen to his breathing...he places a sharp 'tze' at the end of the strike, not after the strike 'tsst' _

This is a 'cat like' performance like no other I have seen.
