Taking the Tai Chi approach. Nothing wrong with that. Rory Miller talks about incorporating that in his book of drills. He also talks about the limits of its utility.

Also a reason for kata practice for those who say it is worthless. Many combatives guys like Larkin, Blauer and others say kata is not effective but........they advocate this type of training.
