What would you choose as the best survival knife to keep in your bug out bag [BOB]...not on your person?

I'd probably go for a spyderco

there quality doesn't seem to change, you always get a lot for your money

Nice blade Laird

Im a spyderco fan , and have a plain kiwi , but i usually use a delica or endura , and with a sharpmaker I can keep them sharp , which to me is more important than what I use , sharp is safe and useful

I see you have the same problem as I do posting.....multiples for some reason, I always end up deleting a double post :?

Yeah I didn't really think about it but I guess medicine and disinfectant are very, very essential.I don't know what the natural alternatives are. I believe that the sap from a pine tree has multiple uses, I'm not sure if that can be used as a disinfectant, but you can burn it as a candle, or drink it as tea, and I think you can also use it as a kind of disinfectant , I know aspirin comes from tree bark, but I don't know what tree..............heck if I was a proper kung fu man I'd know all these herbal remedies

Willow Bark is what your looking for just shred it and brew it into a tea.

Chewing pine gun is great for cleaning teeth and freshening breath. Care full it will also remove loose fillings.

Spruce needles can be boiled to provide an antiseptic wash.

Boiled spruce gun makes a good cough remedy or sore throat treatment.

Spruce beer prevents scurvy....unfortunately for Ray and Marcus tastes a lot like root beer. (Willow bark tea is good for hangovers too.)

Fat and spruce sap mixed together are good for treating insect bites ,scrapes and skin infections.
