Video Site Update / Latest News

Post by Scott Danziger »

Well I guess I'll be using this forum to announce any updates or changes to the video site.

I re-did the VidMag 18-B video's audio (different music at the beginning) and I recompressed the streaming video. Also, the Mpeg version has also been uploaded.

The Main Page has also been totally redone.

I was going to apply embedded streaming video into the pages (and I still might) however as I cruise around the web looking at other sites, for unix based servers I think that Windows streamers play better through the Media Player. Especially version 7.

Maybe some of you have had different experiences or preferences. Please let me know. I would like to make the Video Site a good experience for everybody.

You can access the site through the link below.

Something I forgot to mention about Media Player 7.0. If you do buffer in the higher quality video's, at least on this server, if you want to play the file again, it plays right away. Unlike version 6.4 where you had to reload the file.

I believe this concern was raised a few months back when we were first experimenting with streaming video.

Once again I completely re-did the Main Page. I mean totaly different. I think it has an easier look to it now.

Stay tuned for some clips from the Okinawan masters tour and some Wally Jay clips from a seminar he did a couple of years back.

It would be great to get a hotlink to the video's at the top of the library forum!

Any volunteers to design a forum logo (could be books, etc.), link it to the video site and post it in the library?

Sounds cool! Let me see what I can do. I got an idea but I have to find graphics to mess with. Unless someone else can find something AND... It's ok with George.
