I picked up a copy of PC World to read on the train ride home, yesterday.
They have a one-pager about the fight for online privacy, and dire ct the reader to a few websites, notably www.pcworld.com/junoo/trust.
Remember that most every commercial website you visit deposits cookies on your PC. Some websites give cookies that "...track my online travels without tellng me..." This means that some of the unscrupulous sites actually record every place you visit. Wow! If that doesn't boggle the imagination.
I makes sense to turn cookies off in your browser if you wish to keep some semblance of privacy.
