Voila! Each operating system license I own is independent from any hardware whatsoever. Too bad people like HP put a hook into their stuff. My newfound knowledge of your expose has sealed shut the fact that I will never, ever buy a pc from HP. Why should I? I'm screwed if I decide to move up and trash the old PC, I have to spend an additional several hundred $$$ for an OS?

Video cards..

I got a 3-D Blaster Annihilator-2 for my main machine and a Magic Video TNT2 for my backup PC. The Annihilator also has a fan on it, but the fan is on the wrong side of the card, it should be on the TOP side rather than the bottom.

Both cards are super, you might want to investigate one of those two.


I need some help. I want to start pumping video into my PC and make some clips pretty soon, and that is one area into which I have not ventured. Any suggestions as to equipment, anyone?
