Men are not to be told anything they might find too painful; the secret depths of human nature, the sordid physicalities, might overwhelm or damage them. For instance, men often faint at the sight of their own blood, to which they are not accustomed. For this reason you should never stand behind one in the line at the Red Cross donor clinic.

Women have a favorite saying "Behind every successful man stands a woman."

There is another saying, one in which women don't like to hear: "Behind every failed man stands a woman who got in the way."

Those can be fighting words between the sexes, but I'm only the messenger.

On a roll here... is the point supposed to be that the missus gets control of all the money? Otherwise, I don't see the point in making direct deposit a requirement for being an ideal man...

Isn't this part of the deal when you buy a house? The important part isn't doing the remodelling... it's finishing the work!

The ideal man

Post by lori macleod-doyle »

Is there one definative definition of the ideal man?
Of course not!
Every man, woman and child will have their own definition of what the ideal man is to them. Each person has their own needs and wants. And what is ideal to one is by no means the ideal to another.
My personal definition is a man with a great sense of humor as well as a great sense of self.
Someone who cares about others and has a love of animals.
Someone with hopes and dreams.Because without dreams we have nothing to aim for.
Someone who can let loose and have fun but is also serious when need be.
A man who can enjoy things that may not be considered "guy" things and not be embarrassed about it.
A man who is secure enough in himself and me to understand that we don't have to be together 24-7 to be together.
A man who understands that to have a life with someone else, you have to have a life of your own.
A man who doesn't question why I need another pair of black shoes.
A man who thinks I'm still the most beautiful person in the world even when I've just woken up,my hair is a mess and I haven't brushed my teeth yet.
A man who will do house work without complaining about it.
A man who accepts me for who I am ,flaws and all and still loves me for it anyway! Image

We try don't we...

So eloquently stated. I forgot to add all that to my post. Women sure think diffently than men. Viva la differance.
We are all determined and well meaning, and want to be that man.
I hope you found that man. AND don't let him go.

Thanks Len!

Yes, I have found that man and we've been married for 15 years now!
I'm still amazed that he can put up with me and all my little quirks. Image
