Happy Birthday Thelma (Lori MD)

Well, this weekend marks the blow-out birthday party for my dear friend, fellow karate-ka and travelling companion, Lori MD.

Lori, just wanted to tell you how wonderful it's been to be able to travel down the road with you so far...we've come a long way from the day we first met at the dojo to the amazing trips we've been able to take to further our karate and our friendship.

We've made it through tears and laughter (much more laughter than tears!)

and I feel blessed to have you as a friend.

I wish you a wonderful birthday and hope to be part of the many more you celebrate over the years.

Happy Birthday, Lori M-D!

May I assume that on your next birthday you'll be old enough that I could buy you a birthday celebration drink? Or is that 2 years off?

And does this mean Mary S. is Louise...?

Seriously though. Mary, I have truely enjoyed our many excursions and all the good times we have had as well and I hope there are many more in the future.(maybe Winterfest??)

Len and Dana , thank-you as well and again, it was great to see you both last month.

Student, though we have not met, thank-you for your kind wishes.

I wish you could all be here to help me celebrate. We are having a soiree tomorrow night ,(my birthday is actually tomorrow)and I'm looking forward to enjoying the day with all my friends.
This is a milestone but I won't say which one

And yes.....Mary is Louise!!!!

I first became acquainted with Mary S - that sweet, wonderful, compassionate, athletic, friendly gal. This last camp, I saw the two of them together.

Trust me...together they are trouble.

Thelma and Louise indeed!

Well, if you need another reason to lift an elbow in celebration, have one for my 5th wedding anniversary, also tomorrow, to a wonderful, beautiful lady whose only known vice is poor choice in husbands....

Yes, you were both very well behaved at the camp. In fact...all the Canadians were well behaved. I was most disappointed!

It isn't the actions, it's the potential. It isn't the words, it's the electricity. You two are very different when together. I can see the deep friendship, and sense you two have been through much. As silly as it sounds, it's just intuition...

I hope everyone makes tomorrow as special as you deserve, Lori.

Seeing how we Canadians were very well behaved at summercamp I guess we will have to make up for that tomorrow.
