Bill-sensei:
Sorry for the intrusion, I simply wanted to let folks know that the legendary Al Wharton, 7th Degree Master Uechi Instructor from Bermuda will be visiting my dojo in Tewksbury, MA next Thursday night, August 30th, for a 2-hour seminar from 7:30 - 9:30 pm.
In addition to Sensei Wharton's amazing karate skills, he is also a very formidable fighter and master of Bak Sil Lum Kung Fu.
Anyone interested in "cross training", exploring the similarities of Uechi and other arts, or in developing smoothness and flow in their karate MUST SEE Sensei Wharton in action.
The seminar is open to the first 20 respondents, and only costs $25 dollars. CALL TODAY: 978-858-0123 to get your name on our registration list! Or, email me privately at gjkhoury@tiac.net
See you next Thursday evening!

This is by no means an intrusion. Al is a superb martial arts practitioner and all around great guy. I have worked side-by-side with him learning several difficult Chinese forms. Considering his size (somewhat tall) his agility is amazing. And yes...he fights very well.
It's rare that you get that combination of someone with a memory like a sieve, a love of multiple styles, an appreciation for martial arts forms, and strong fighting skills. In many ways, he reminds me of Bob Campbell.
Please give my best to Al. And make sure you get him to class on time. Those Bermudans operate on a different time zone.
