Black belt test direction and focus

Post by cp »

I noticed in Sensei Mattson's "What's New" section he talks about working on the updated IUKF manual, including "Black belt test direction and focus". How is this going to be different than what is currently contained in the "Black Belt Test Guide"?

The Black Belt Test Guide document the generally accepted test standards for Uechi-ryu. In the updated IUKF manual, these standard remain. However, according to the charter, each region is able to adopt tougher standards, which is what the New England region has elected to do.

are the "Tougher standards" going to be in effect for the Spring test? Are they going to be published to the IUKF members, especially the people going up for test? Has a date/location for the Spring test been decided apon yet?

All the IUKF instructors should be on the IUKF eGroup and therefore should have received the New England update for this Spring's dantest.

We haven't decided on a location yet.

If your instructor doesn't have this update, please email me.
