Post by Evan Pantazi »

Under the inspiration and guidance of Mattson Sensei we will be hosting Kyusho Summer Camp and Small Circle Jujitsu Summer Camp in conjunction with Uechi-Ryu. This is going to be another historical milestone in the American Martial Atrs!

Top instructors from each discipline all together on the field in search of true Budo!

Keep watching for announcements as they come to fruition!

Evan,

Will they be concurrent but separate camps, or will there be some mutual exchanges....?

David San,

I am hoping that all will be an open format in the spirit that Mattson Sensei founded the Camp. With Small Circle Jujitsu and Uechi and Kyusho and...man this will be incredible!

A few select groups of compatible martial art systems will share the facilities. The format will remain the same as in other years. Students will be able to participate in all the seminars!

Should be another great year!

Add Master Will Higginbotham (7th Dan Ryu Kyu Kempo / Kyusho) to the list of Instructors. He's one of the smoothest Kyusho practicans I know.

Tentative Program: All Kyusho Instructors that wish to participate in a
particular session will lead for an equal time so we can play off each
other, learning, helping, spelling each other and just having fun ourselves. The complete course is there for one to pick up the methodology and begin applying it into their respective Arts.

1. Kyusho Intro (Method, Description, Revival and Chi Gong)
2. Arms
3. Legs
4. Body
5. Head
6. Tuite
7. Kata Breakdown (point combos/open forum)
8. (Kyusho) Grappling
9. (Kyusho) Sparring
10. Open Disscussion and Question period

The Kyusho Camp website has been started...but it is far from finished. There will be weekly updates on Instructors, curriculum and we welcome your ideas. New page is at:

Summer Camp 2000!

This weekend in NJ at a Dillman, Jay and Presas Seminar I met with Will Higginbotham, Ed Lake and Mark Kline, (all Kyusho experts that will be teaching at this year's Kyusho Summer Camp). We worked out together in the format I am setting up for the camp and the exchange of information and the workable methods that came out were incredible.

Let's face it, no one individual can know it all, it is when all input is freely accepted and tweaked by many, that a more sure method can be accomplished. I know it's many months off it's going to be fantastic!
