Eastern/Western Medicine Specialist?

Post by LAC »

Greetings,
I hope this is a forum that I may pose this inquiry. My boss is in his mid 50's. He is suffering form upper, lower, and siatica(?) pain. He has been on hard drugs, he has seen a neurosurgeon who told him there isn't a surgery that will cure him. He has also had cortizone shots injected epidorally. Nothing works. I think some of his pain stems from a disc issue in his middle back He has an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon next week. In speaking with him I suggested that he may want to look into Eastern medicine and healing practices if the orthopedic surgeon can't help him. To my surprise he said he is considering accupunture.
Because I am fortunate enough to be aware of these wonderful forums I told him I would try to get some names of people that specialize in this area.
Is there anyone out there who can recommend someone who practices western/eastern medicine, or someone in the eastern healing field who really knows their stuff. My boss is from the southeastern Ma area. About an hour down from Boston.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
He is such a nice boss I hate to see him, or anyone, suffer the way he is right now. He has been living with this condition for at least 2 years now, and I can see it is really affecting his emotional well being.

Thanks for listening,

I can recommend Patrick. He's a regular at camp and has helped quite a few people.

I was unable to get any experience on any of the accupuncture places here but looked in the phone book. You mentioned Southeastern Ma, about an hour from Boston. There are several places listed in the book. Falmouth, where I live, Mashpee and Osterville. It looks like the Mashpee location is a clinic with several certified people. That phone number is 508-539-0299. So if Patrick is not available or too far away and this area is a better location, I will give you any assistance I can.
