This is probably the most frightening of situations.
Stalking is akin to being hunted.
A person who is stalked is constantly feeling like they are being watched wherever they go. A stalker uses this psycological highjacking to their advantage, just waiting for the opportunity to confront you when your guard is down.
You can't constantly be aware of your surroundings at ALL times, they are thinking. Sooner or later you will let your guard down, and they will be right there when you do. Time is on their side after all. You may go months without seeing or hearing from a stalker. Then as more and more time goes by, you begin to think that you are never going to see or hear from them again.
You are now beginning to get on with your life. You take your daughter to the soccer match and drop her off at the field. "I will return when the game is almost over" you say to her as you get back in the car and head out to the supermarket. It is now 5:30 PM and the sun is slowly sinking behind the trees as you hurry down to the field. You enter the parking lot and park the car 100 yards from the field because the other parents arrived before you or have stayed to watch the game. No one else is around you. You get out of the car and as you are locking the doors...the stalker is right behind you!
Can VSD save you?
