Winter is a time, symbolically, when all returns to what has given life and all the cycles are complete ... it is a time of physical and spiritual hibernation. A time to reflect on all that has been, all that has passed away ... all that is yet to be.
It is a time for discovering what is truly needed in your life for the coming year ...
For me, it is rediscovering the "spirit of repetition. "If you the lose the spirit of repetition, your practice, (your way) will become quite diffiicult."
It means taking it to the limit, one more time, despite the pain in the body, the heaviness of heart and the weariness of the mind -- until I understand and feel what it is to become the form.
Blessings and Light to all during this Season and in the coming year. May we all reach true Understanding ..

Dancing In The Dark
Yes. That time of year again.
Wrap me in your darkness
and let me drift in the bittersweet memories.
The seasonal cocoon is but temporary transition
from which I will emerge
refreshed and mindful to appreciate always
the light of another day.

A time for laying down the bones,
Pressing them deep against the coldness of the Earth.
A time for returning to the darkness of the cave,
Listening to the drips of water with stories yet untold.
A time for placing wood upon the fire,
Gathering in silence, breathing life's breath
Upon the embers of spirit.
A time for returning....

As the holiday season forcibly comes upon us, let us take time to step inside our sacred circle of self to remember and renew our spirit. Blessings to all.
