it seems to promise some good material but doesn't really deliver. The site is, presently, poorly organized and content poor. However it does raise interesting ideas on standarizing VSD (verbal self defense) and training and allow for certification. I hope they build out the rest of the site - and also hire a profressional web designer to improve their usability.


I got this from the current issue of Women in the Martial Arts (vol 22 #1) Winter 2003. The issue also has a great article on Connie and Mark Flynn's Uechi-Ryu school in Pittsfield, MA. With a great photo of Lisken Van Pelt Dus (Rokudan), Connie Flynn (Sandan), Kathy Fabrizio (Godan), Wendy Stebbins (Yondan), and while she is not mentioned - Peggy Hess (Rokudan) is also in the picture.
