Pepper Spray and UV Dye

Saw an interesting product in the hardware store over the weekend. We've had several discussions about pepper spray in the past, but this was the first time I saw the spray combined with UV dye. Puts an interesting twist on the question of having something like this available.

There's something to be said for being able to mark your attacker. I know that Roy Bedard demonstrated dye pellets at the 2002 camp for use in mob situations to identify leaders/trouble makers in groups. But being able to individually mark your attacker could be a blessing...problem is having the space to do it, the wherewithall to carry it out...all the while keeping your personal safety as the #1 priority.

Anybody know if this UV dye marking has ever helped a woman prove her case?

Hi Dana. The three way product by MACE is what I trained with and recommend. Next time I see my LEO friend I'll ask if the UV feature has been used in Richmond. The second ingredient is good old CS tear gas.
