Can anyone tell me anything about him other then what is on his site? Is he legit?

Very legit in my opinion , incredibly knowledgeable and a great teacher , have done seminars with him and am still finding/discovering/remembering things I learnt from them .

In my opinion this guys as knowledgeable and practical as they come , totally open with his ideas and experiences , always shows you why and how . If your looking for a real martial artist this guys it .

I don't know him personally, but have read many of his books and articles. People who have attended his seminars say they are very informative.

Mr McCarthy lives pretty close to my last address. I got to spend quite some time with the man (albeit in class/seminar environment) over the course of a year or so.

Very confident in his teaching and historical material and capable physically and mentally. His academic discussion list is also fantastic. I have no idea of its accuracy, but I have no reason to doubt it.
