Manny Ayala is heading up WinterFest. In 2004 , it will again be held in West Palm Beach Florida. Those of us who attended last year had a wonderful time. Lots of sun, beaches and beautiful places to visit during the off times.

Manny will be updating us on this site during the coming weeks regarding Presenters. At this time we have scheuduled:

Manny will be contacting other Uechi, Gojo and Shotokan teachers who are also expected to attend and conduct seminars. If you are interested in attending or teaching, please contact Manny at: ayala7@adelphia.net .

Where: Comfort Inn BallRoom, on Palm Beach Lakes

When: Fri, Sat, Sun, (January 9-11) Tenatively scheduling a late afternoon, early evening session on Friday, All day on Saturday and Morning session on Sunday.

Cost: Seminars: $100 (Includes Friday, Saturday & Sunday) Seminars to be conducted at the Comfort Inn Ball Room.

Options: Special price for rooms at the Comfort Inn located on Palm Beach Lakes only $79 a night (double occupancy). When reserving rooms, be sure to say you are attending the karate WinterFest.

Meals: Will be available at the Comfort Inn or you can bring your own lunches. Many restaurants in the area.

Please talk up WinterFest at your dojo and plan to join us the 2nd weekend in January for another wonderful karate weekend.

I've got everything finalized. We will be at the Comfort Inn Palm Beach Lakes:

The room rates will be $81.00/Per Room (Including Taxes) which includes continental Breakfast. We need to fill approx. 10-15 rooms.

We will have the Meeting/Banquet Room for ourselves starting on Friday evening from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, All day Saturday, and 9:00 am- 12:00 noon on Sunday at no charge!

The Comfort Inn is located in heart of West Palm Beach:

These are some of the local and not so far attractions we offer. As for the cost, I believe we include (2) Nights of Hotel as a package- The package can range if Hotel Option Chosen: $227.00, which will include training sessions All day on Saturday and 1/2 Day on Sunday, with the (2) night accommodation and continental breakfast in the mornings.

If hotel package is not chosen then we charge: $50.00/Saturday Training Event and $35.00/Sunday's Half Day Event.

Hope everything is well. New update the venue is starting to come together.

Gilbert Venero- Go-Dan in JKF Goju-Karate, has committed to a 1-2 hour clinic on Kumite, preferrably on Sunday Morning! His clinics are lots of fun, he will put on an enjoyable clinic for everyone to participate.

Also want to mention that the following week, he will be hosting a one day clinic in Ft. Lauderdale with Wayne Otto- WKF multible World Kumite Champion! My understanding is that Wayne Otto's background is in Uechi-Ryu, that training event will have participants both from the AAU and the USANKF organizations from around the country, so for the serious Kumite competitor this could be a clinic that we can extend an invititation to our Uechi family!

I have also spoken with Richard Potrekeus and he is on board again for the second year and will push to have a stronger showing from around the state.

As we get closer, please let me know if there is anything else that we may want to offer!
