CBS MORNING NEWS MARTIAL ARTS DEMONSTRATION,FEB. 4TH!

Post by Halford »

I just wanted to alert all karate practitioners and martial artists, that on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4,2004, there will be a martial arts demonstration led by my good friend, GORDON THOMPSON, during the CBS MORNING NEWS, PLAZA SEGMENT for around 30 minutes. I am hoping that everyone in this forum will be able to watch it and also let me know their comments after they do. Also, please contact CBS and let them know you watched and if you want more of the same on their programs! As far as I know, this is one of the rare occasions when a national network company has more than a few clips on martial arts. Please let others know about this. Thanks for your time. The demo will be on MARCH 31ST due to the weather.

Just had an e-mail from Gordon Thompson who informs me that the CBS demonstration/exhibition has been postponed until March 31 due to the coming storm(a Northeasterner) that would make difficult travel and so forth. You can e-mail Gordon for more details on any of this. The important thing is that most networks television does little for martial arts and here is a chance to show that more can be done.

Lucky it's postponed; Feb 4 is a WEDNESDAY, not a TUESDAY!
...Will watch Mar 31 (that's Wednesday, right?), should be interesting.
Whose style or school is putting it on?

As far as I know it's a group of various practitioners.

:D I will hunt up the e-mail address of Gordon Thompson so you can e-mail him and ask him for more information. He sent me some information but I deleted it since the date had been changed.
