Oh crap, i think i came off a little cranky sorry im just sick of having the same arguement over and over again.
I think your a cool guy tony. You got a great sense of humor and make smart posts. Just that your comments just crossed the line a bit.
True, political correctness can be seen as a form of censorship, but think about it, is it really?
Damn, i really said some bad #####.
Sorry.

It's not about skin color. Sorry, but i'm not that superficial. I lived with these people for months. I know what they are thinking and they are not healthy thoughts.AAAhmed46 wrote:I know this palistinian girl, she has light skin, brown hair,Hazel eyes, but she is born and raised arab(Lots of arabs look White, particularly syrians and some palistinians).
Tony-
If I read your last post correctly, I would think that you lived with a certain small percentage of a certain group of a certain country. You did not live with the entire Arab race, nor do you know what the entirety of the Arab world thinks. Again, you are moving into ridiculous statements whenever you start throwing around blanket terms like "they" and "them".........

Tony-
You thinking you know more than me based on whatever experiences you may have had is irrelevant. What you know and/or what you 'think' you know is based on your dealings with only a small portion of the Arab world. Short, haiku like answers, contradictions, and smoke & mirrors will do nothing to hide the illogical basis of racist comments....

It is true you have American citizenship by birth. It is true you have a right to despise. You also have the right to make a fool of yourself - in the right venue - and I will defend that right. The real question however is whether or not you will influence anyone in the manner of your choosing.Tony wrote: I American

Don't like it? UP YOURS!
It's the classic emotional hijacking. When confronted with sociopathic brutality and the logic of paranoid schizophrenics, what is our response? If a marginal personality like Osama succeeds in making us curtail our own freedoms and humanity, then he has succeeded without firing another shot. We have enough racial tension going on in this country - and proselytizing bozos whining about racism - without showing more of it to yet another minority religious group making their way into our country for a better life.
It reminds me of my 12 and 6 year-old going at it. Twelve-year-old pounds the crap out of the little guy. But the six-year-old knows the older guy's buttons. He can't retaliate in kind to the big guy, so he does all those little things that he knows will make older brother implode. And he is relentless.
I can understand a 12-year-old allowing a child to push his buttons and manipulate him like a puppet. It's disturbing though when we see it in adults.
Is this relevant to martial arts? You betcha!
* If all it takes to get your fists flying is to make a wisecrack about your girl, it doesn't say much about one's ability to control one's environment. It also points to someone who is one insult away from being sucked into his/her own demise the way a moth can be made to fly into a flame.
* Historically one of the first things used to improve man's ability to kill face-to-face is to dehumanize the enemy. (Source: Grossman.) It is what the religious Nazi fanatics are doing vis-à-vis the west. And it's what we as a country have often done in response to outside aggression with our attitudes towards Germans, Japanese, and Vietnamese. (Krauts, Nips, Gooks, etc.) That may be useful if applied to those who truly have become sub-human in their desire to attack us. But when it ends up with us putting thousands of Japanese Americans into prison camps, we've got issues.
* It's not unreasonable to expect long-term consequences of exposure to human violence.
So the real question is, what are we going to do about it? How are we most effective in achieving our ends? How will we achieve our own psychological warfare ends? How will we as a people make ourselves worthy of a positive Muslim response when we behave like the dogs who taunt us? (Not that we NEED it, but it doesn't hurt to distinguish yourself when claiming the higher ground.)
Who said the mind was any less important in the Sanchin triad?
I'm all for kicking a little bootie and taking names. But I prefer the Teddy Roosevelt approach - walk softly and carry a big stick.

·
On New Year's Day
I long to meet my parents
as they were before my birth.
~~
· A dead chrysanthemum
and yet - isn't there still something
remaining in it?
· He says a word,
and I say a word - autumn
is deepening.
· The winds that blow -
ask them, which leaf on the tree
will be next to go.
· A gold bug -
I hurl into the darkness
and feel the depth of night.

Like I wrote here once before, there is a reason "I'm" not the President of the United States!Bill Glasheen wrote:Tony, do you honestly think anyone here would characterize me as a dove?![]()
I don't mind you on my side, so long as you aren't giving the orders...

Although it might appear that I have racist tendencies, the fact is, because I don't know for sure who the enemy is, I simply lump them all together and assume they are all the enemy rather then taking the idiots path and giving a potential enemy the benefit of the doubt..dumb.. dumb... and dumber. Must be all that Sanchin training... but then, Uechi people aren't really known for their fighting strategies.. They always move forward, even if there is a punch or kick there... hah hah... why? Because moving backward isn't Uechi...
This does not mean that I don't give them the opportunity to prove to me otherwise. So basically, they are all Colon-Bombers until they can prove to me otherwise (and I am not easily fooled either).
