This will be a great game, Hurricanes aren't done yet. No hockey team wants to lose the cup in front of the home town crowd. It's humiliating to watch the other team celebrate in your arena. Think were in for a war tonight!

Class has been relocated to the Keg lounge and starts at 6 pm. tonight. Come early guys and get a good seat 8)

Game 7

Post by John Giacoletti »

I saw on the TV a couple of Carolina fans with retro Whaler Jerseys.

That's wierd.

Tonight I am absent from class and I hardly every miss. After Game 7 I will be faithful.

You'd think they would take it easy on their neighbor Cam Ward

Deflectons and digging the puck out of the slop and scrum. It's a war. Love it.

Momentum favors the Oilers and I am rooting for them. They have the heart of a fighter.
There is much to make of every moment.

I won't rub it in, guys. The men spoke on the ice, and it is done.

Look at it this way; it's good for hockey. Most people down here don't give a rat's ass about the sport, didn't notice when it went away, and didn't notice when it came back. I heard Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN radio today. Greenberg was talking some hogwash about how it was terrible The Cup wasn't won in a major city, or competed for by "major city teams." What an arrogant f***! He can kiss my Cavalier ass. Raleigh-Durham is one of the sports meccas of the world. Duke and Carolina basketball is way more popular than anything seen in the pros. Not only that, but the "research triangle" (defined by Duke, UNC, and NC State) is world famous in medicine, law, and science. Hockey should be so lucky as to get that kind of rabid and well-informed sports crowd into their arena. It'll be good for everyone - even and especially Edmonton.

Most folks down here don't know Edmonton from a polar bear's den. Pretty sad. Now at least they recognize the accents. It's abote time, eh? 8)

Go Hurricanes!

I very much enjoy the NHL. A hockey game is high speed and hard hitting. You must really watch it to follow the puck and see the nuances.

Then there is soccer... How anyone can enjoy watching a soccer game amazes me. And I know the rules as I was a soccer ref for the local organization my son played in.
