Fitness would be a must to maintain many of those unusual positions using the Kama Sutra. I always thought I was pretty fit and trim but I'm not sure I could get my body in many of those position, especially with aging.
There is beauty in the human body and beauty in the give and take of two people loving each other.
All the more reason, why one should maintain the body, keeping it fit and aesthetically pleasing.
So, not only should you stay fit for karate but fit for love.
Do you?
As far back as I can remember, the gym has been the place where I have met women with whom I eventually shared personal time. That wasn't a conscious effort; I've observed this after the fact. I think part of it is shared values. Another part is that physically fit people - of all ages, sizes, and personal dispositions - are just a lot more fun to look at and cuddle with.
Throw in a good mind and a great personality, and you have a winner.
One interesting comment to complete the thought here... Before my first son was born, my spouse (who once competed as a bodybuilder and was a track athlete) said she considered childbirth to be the ultimate athletic event. I'd say that thought flows right from a physical appreciation of sensuality and sexuality.
