Day at the "Hut"

Post by GSantaniello »

Today i almost did not make it to the "Hut" for a workout. Started out late, traffic came to a sudden stop almost creating a pile up, so there i was showing up 20 minutes into the class.

To my surprize the class was full of many black belts working very hard. Some faces of the regular group, also several visiters from elsewhere.

Having just been to the Summerfest last weekend, some things that Rory covered were recaptured with the help of Harry Skeftler, who is always an interesting person to have discussion with regarding the arts !

Much material was fit into the workout from kata to some pre-arrange kumite (stepped up version) to some drills from Rory's seminars then some exhausting line drills up and down the dojo led off by Paul Giella who always pushes the group.

Finally at the end, we took pleasure in watching both Wendy and Neil from Mike Rosnicks dojo, perform individual kata.

Surely they both displayed excellent form accompanied with power and intensity that was nothing short of suburb performance.

All in all, it was an excellent day at the "hut" as one never knows what will be going on there at any given time.
