Sanchin Clip...!!!!!!

Post by Mills75 »

Hello Dana tonight was the first time I was able to view your Sanchin clip that is on Rick Wilson's website which is very nice by the way.I have to say and not just saying this to be nice I thought your Sanchin was a thing of beauty. It is exactly the way I'm taught to perform it by my Sensei also and it was really awesome truly.I'm extremely impressed to say the very least and take it for what it is worth being I'm only a kyu rank commenting on a senior level Dan Rank but I was really in awe of how you performed the kata..Again it was a thing of beauty and I believe my Sensei would love it also because he teaches it just as you performed it.thouroughly impressed and cannot say enough about it..Bravo really...

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

Thanks. I have to say that putting my clip online has been a great way to get feedback from lots of folks. Based on that feedback I'm working on:

using my front leg more
my overall core/body & leg strength (will eventually = more power)

and based on previous comments from folks who've seen me in person - my right arm tends to target wide.

So thanks for the compliments, and remember I'm a work in progress.

BTW- who is your teacher?

Dana

hi Dana and Ben...

Yes Ben I had seen Dana was a member of the okikukai as well when i looked at the womens friendship tour and read about some of the things that happened while visiting our organization on Okinawa and it's many great masters which I enjoyed very much and thought was very cool also I had saw Mr. Kaisers Washington karate website which is very nice and saw the many great things he's done along with his personal bodyguard record and private security dealings.I also have had some of the instructors at our school mention Dana with woth some kind words as one of our instructors attended a meeting with Master James Thompson at the same time she attended I believe.I enjoy learning from all the people here like Dana and yourself also ben so thank you.

And Dana my Sensei is Dr. Daniel Rinchuse who is renshi rokudan with the okikukai and he I believe is taught by Jack Summers. We also have Mark Stevens who now teaches and trains at our school who is Godan who previously began his studies as a student of Charles Earle.here is the site if you wish to check it out.

one more thing to add.

Post by Mills75 »

I can't mention our school and my Sensei who I respect very much without thanking Sensei Gordi Breyette who is a friend of my Sensei and who I also count as my friend who has helped me to understand more about Uechi everytime I seek his counsel also so I would be leaving someone very instrumental out without also mentioning and thanking him and the Zankai organization very greatly..

thanks

Jeff - you're training with a great group of folks.

I hope you make it down for one of Mr. Thompson's seminars. It's always lots of fun and good training.
