A favour:

I have the bad luck of having the same first middle and last name AND birth date of a disreputable individual.

I am constantly getting calls and being threatened to be sued by those who search and “low and behold” find a Richard Wilson now in Edmonton.

I have been served by a law firm Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP in Calgary Alberta and the lawyer is Andrea Hay for something this guy did installing a carpet in Calgary in 2001.

Despite having provided enough personal information for any competent skip tracer to confirm they have the wrong person they are demanding third party confirmation that I have been in Edmonton for some time particularly in 2001.

I have been posting on these forums since the 1990’s and always stated my location as Edmonton.

So I ask my friends in the martial arts who feel comfortable that they can state I have been in Edmonton for some time to send the following email:

I can personally state that Mr. Richard Wilson is a member of the Uechi Ryu martial arts community and has been teaching in Edmonton since 1994.

Sorry to take up forum time with this but this is getting ridiculous.

Thank you everyone who sent an email.

I received a letter today from the lawyers acknowledging they now accept I am nto the person they are looking for and I need not be concerned about this matter any longer.
