Watch your thoughts they become words,
Watch your words they become actions,
Watch your actions they become habits,
Watch your habits they become your character,
Watch your character it becomes your destiny.

This is one of my very favorite things written concerning character and I believe it is very, very true. I love this. Thanks for posting it.

Dana, that's one of my favorite quotes/words to live by.

I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now and just got around to posting. I'm not a student of Uechi-Ryu but I've studied Isshinryu for the past 3 1/2 years--I'm still a newbie to the art for sure! Hope you don't mind someone from another style reading and posting here. You guys have wonderful information that martial artists from a variety of disciplines can benefit from--thanks! :D

Hi rbrady,

Welcome and thank you! Please feel free to write and share your ideas on any topic. This forum doesn't exclude conversations about anything...it just seeks to include more conversations about women and training.

And to do that - we've got to talk about lots of stuff!

I enjoy hearing from folks who train in other systems because it helps me see my own training through another lens. I also hope that carries through for others on these forums.

So thanks for writing and I hope you'll continue to share your thoughts.

cheers,
Dana
