March 17 Mid-Atlantic with Raffi/FMA

Post by Bill Glasheen »

To all...

We're starting to put the particulars together. But at this point, we know we're going to have a regional on March 17 with special instructor (Uechika and Guro) Raffi Derderian.

Check out the credentials of Raffi and Susan

Raffi and Susan do a yearly trek down to Virginia to visit our Mid-Atlantic bretheren and share in a little Filipino Martial arts, JKD, and whatever else seems to fit in with the kinds of things we cross-training Uechika like to do. We have the room reserved from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but will probably use a little of that time for administrative purposes, a break, etc. We'll flesh the schedule out more as the time approaches. But by all means put Saturday, March 17 on your calendar. The timing should be good for folks to travel here, do some training, have some fun together, and get back in plenty of time to rest up for the rest of the weekend.

There's time for suggestions and special requests. If you've ever worked with Raffi at camp, you may have a particular interest that you'd like to explore more deeply.

More later.

Hey Bill, I'd be up for a Raffi fix. How much?

Hey, Ross. I didn't realize you were so close.

It's on its way to you as I write. We would love to have you participate. Raffi's seminars are always most excellent.....and the camaderie afterward is wonderful too.

Send me your info (full name and phone) and I will add you to our annual mailer list so you get an invite. If this is the email you wish to use, then this will be what I use to for the invitation.

Let me know if you are definitely coming and I will send you an address to send your check. As always, you are welcome to bring guests to participate.

Happy training,
Vicki

Sadly, I am on travel that weekend. But I've shared it with our students and will encourage them to attend.
Sorry to miss out on the fun...

Dumb question

Is the dress karate formal, dojo casual or come as you are?

Dress is basically comfortable. You may come in formal gi, gi bottoms and T-shirt, and anything you can move around in.

Excellent, Mike. I will put you down as a "Yes" on my list. I look forward to working with you again.

Do you need a place to stay while in Richmond? We have a guest room available if you need it.

Anyone of you that are coming from out of town, I will try and find the registration form and include it, so you and your friends attending can send in their form and fees before the seminar.

I will try to get that to you this coming week.

Vicki
