Article suggesting nightmares are how you practice for the real thing:

My nightmares tend to 1) be about throwing punches at a BG but not being able to add any power and 2) firing a gun at a BG but not being strong enough to squeeze the trigger. Both are focused on being weak; I wonder if this has anything to do with sleep paralysis. Maybe my body is used to throwing punches or squeezing triggers and when the threat arrives in my dream, I try to actually do it? Fun to think about anyway.

I rarely remember my dreams any more. I'm so tired, that I sleep the deep sleep.

There were two different kinds of martial dreams that I had:
- I was forced to teach martial arts at a very early age because the instructor left. I had these recurrent nightmares where I'd ask a class to do something and they'd refuse. People would just sit down and stare at me.
- In my real fights, the bad guys didn't fall with my ippon (of doom). I had to hit them 3, 4, and 5 times before they'd drop.
