Please pass along my best to Gushi Sensei, George. He is a very dear man and inspirational Uechi leader.

George

When you are there, will you do me a favor?

First... Tell George Schriefer I said hello, and thanks for the "Red Man" Eiku form.

Then... Would you tell George that I wanted him to show you how he does his hips in shoken sukuiage uke? (The shoken scoops in Sanseiryu) It's too difficult to describe. But if you want to know what I was doing in my online Kanchin, George is the guy whose hip action I was emulating (playing with). He says he got it from kobudo training. He also says Shinjo Narahiro was doing something very similar, and for the same reason.

We can talk about it more later. ;)

Yes, I am doing work on that article. 8)
