It was indeed a fun read. And I compliment the author on his expertise.

To be precise... It isn't Scientific American doing the analysis. This is an interview of neuroscientist, kinesiologist, and martial artist E. Paul Zehr. He is the author of the following book from Johns Hopkins University Press.
