Cooler heads prevailing. Good. The bellicose language and saber rattling isn't helpful.

Georgia f-ed up, and provoked the fight. But Russia's response was more than over the top.

Which is why it's a good thing the US made it clear what would happen if Russia did something stupid like attack Poland over the Missile Defense System.

If we hadn't, it would have emboldened them.
