Anthony, Bill posted an article from a rec.martial arts newsgroup on his forum last week.

I have an internet I.Q. lower than my belt size. When I tried to connect to the news group I get messages in Win 98 about a Pop3 mail server and other such stuff I have no clue about.

How do I get to read these articles? I have AOL at home.

Kevin,

Try this on AOL: (assuming you are using aol 4.0)

On the top bar click on...
internet
newsgroups
expert add (type rec.martial-arts)
subscribe

To get there easier each time, make it a "favorite place". Hope that helps

Kevin,
I second Tony-sans' recommendation. I to would guess that it is trying to get some basic information from you to set up the newsreader. I'm guessing that you use AOL w/IE5 ? and most likely have Outlook express as a mail and newsreader. Stick to Dejanews its free and works fine.
AOL has or had a very poor newsreader interface when I was playing with them.
I know they have a very limited news feed and have dropped some more "hot" groups because of there "views and beliefs" If you are looking for a news reader recommendation I and I think Tony both use Agent News reader. Very nice and POWERFUL.

Have fun and safe surffing !
