Here is that same clip set up at 320x240 going for best quality. Made for 100kbs. Please note that the original quality from the AVI wasn't that great. This clip is merely for testing for different type internet connections.

If it goes well, and enough feedback from the dialups come in from the other clip, then I'll know how to maximize quality for the different connections.

Hi again Scott -

This clip for me on a 56K was about double in size - same clarity - still the "underwater" effect around the outside - but over 15 buffering pauses before the forward direction was finished...

I closed at that point.

Keep up the good work!

Scott - ran fine for me as well (RoadRunner). No buffering and the sound was pretty good.

I've been surfing martial arts pages for video formats and found an interesting one for you to look into - and the school appears to be in your area:
http://www.shaolinkempo.com

If you go to the Belt Rank Requirements section, at the bottom of every page is a VIVO (?) video. Sound, video AND no loading. What do you think?

Best regards, Steve

Steve,

I visited the website and saw the vivo clip. Not bad at all. The clip appears to have that 28k quality though. If the clip on the other post was done at 28.8 with less clarity, it too would not need to buffer. Lori was able to view it with no buffer problems (the 56k clip not the above one).

The cable clip above was done at 30fps. The 56k clip is 15fps.

I think the best way to go is 2-3 different clips for different users. 56k low, 56k high, ISDN and above. The beauty of MS video streaming is viewer and creater is free. Media Player is very universal for most formats.

I appreciate the thought & the link. Always good to see what's out there fer sure. Also, another link for the Hotlist Image

Thank you!
Scott
