Thank you everybody. I appreciate that.
There will definatly be more clips put up. Keep checking. I also plan to fix the page up a bit more. This thing is just getting started. Next I want to take all the Tomoyose video material from the Okinawan masters tour and put it up. I still have clips from the FTP to go through as well. Plus some other ideas. I will also be putting up some of the real player stuff from the old video page. The ones that play well enough. Hopefully we will recover the original avi's from them and then I'll put them up streaming. Who know's maybe some nice surprises will show up as well.
Like the original post says... Go there and Bookmark it!
BTW: I would also like to thank everybody who responded to all the test posts here on the forum. THANK YOU!!! It really was a big help getting a wide range of responses from different computer systems, services, modems, etc...

Had to come back for more now I have a few spare minutes. This is way cool. You did put the web development stuff on your resume, right Scott?

Unfortunatly I am limited in only basic html, java usage but not writing. Never created anything in flash or shockwave either. I do know graphics, teaching myself video, and whatever you see on the sites I've created.
And even though what I do is not what I hope to accomplish in life, the company is not bad and the health insurance is really decent.

Allen,
I will be. I sure as hell don't like what I do now. The money bites and there is no creativity. I'll be putting all the sites I've done on a resume I think.
Anyway, I updated the site again. I added GEM's intro from the old video site and all the Tomoyose video from Marilyn Fierro's Taking Charge show when she taped the 1999 Okinawan Masters tour. This clip is 4:45 minutes. The largest clip yet so far. I did it in 4 versions.
I will soon be adding GEM's slide show from Germany. That came out pretty decent for realplayer. I still have to go through the other clips. Some are, well, real player quality. I can see as with MS media player, realplayer loses quality with more movement in the video. For slower modem users especially on a normal web server (non-MS media server) you have to balance smoothness with clarity.
Hope you all (yall for you southerners) like the Tomoyose clip.

Scott,
If you are a young dude, and interested in software and want to learn how to write code and want to get up and running fast, take one of two branches: Java or VB. These two software skills are HOT in today's market. I get calls from companies almost every day.c is hard, and c++ requires a long learning curve. To be marketable with HTML, you have to know Java. One of the easiest ways to start with Java is to do Java scripting, and the code can be written and run right on a webpage without a compiler.
Your webpage and the new Uechi cam page demonstrates the type of creativity required for software development, and also Dungeons and Dragons prowess also can determine if you will be a natural for it.
Right now, the software industry is booming. I give it 3 to 5 years before it starts its descent unless something interferes. If you want it, go for it because the time is right.

Thanks Allen I'll give it a look. I do program in dBase (DOS). We still use it at work. Now to find the time. I'm not old, but not that young (41).
What I really want to get into is video production. Getting the wife to let me get (charge) for a really good camera and a high end PC for digital processing and putting back to videotape or on CD is the REAL challenge. First I hafta get a better job. Then go for a career. The stuff I do here and for Taking Charge is giving me some great hands on Experience. I even had the chance to tape a couple of shows for Taking Charge. Next I want to get in the studio and watch how Marilyn does the editing. Personally I like digital with the PC but whatever knowlege I need to break into the business, I'll take.
