2K+1 bug?

Perhaps it is coincidence, but I've been having all kinds of weird intermittent problems on the net since the calendar kicked over from 00 to 01 - my machine is fine stand alone - but server problems (different providers), email weirdness - website access - strange on again off again things that I just wonder "is it just me?" or has anyone else noticed an increase in web snags?

I'd read a little about 2001 being more of a problem than 00 in some aspects of computing - any credence to this from the experts?

The big issue of the Y2K problem had to do with changing the year from a two-digit number to a four-digit number. While it is possible that a poorly developed application could choke when the year turns from zero to one, it is highly unlikely.
