Eureka!!!!!
My computer is finally working. . . without a lockup in nearly 20 hours. . .
ATI (the all-in-wonder people) finally introduced a new video driver for Windows ME that WORKS!
Amazing how everyone from MS, ATI and Systemax claimed they didn't know what the problem was and how rare my situation was! Yesterday I discovered the new driver release and loaded it. Wow, what a difference. For those who accept those glitches and lockups as normal behavior: DON'T GIVE UP!!!!
