What makes a good training partner?

Post by sunsu8 »

I generally look for someone who has attained some rank and is confident and patient. Someone who works technique repeatedly and also things about alternative bunkai (however you spell it) I try to avoid people who talk all the time and people who cannot ever seem to catch on to a technique. I also like working with people who are somewhat aggressive so that i can try and work things with people who resist. I do tend to work with people who are much stronger and bigger than me because i would usually encounter someone on the street bigger (i think) Picking a challenge and seeing what works on people of different sizes and knowledge, helps me out a lot. just my opinions, SJR
