Karate in the quad cities

Post by Adam »

Well, I'm moving to Davenport Iowa in a couple months (part of the quad cities area) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any uechi-ryu and/or good karate in the area. You know, something easier than driving a couple hours to Chicago. Image

Hello Adam,

I don't know of any Uechi-ryu schools in the area but I do know Roberta Cochran-Zavitz very well. She is an exceptional person with which to train and a long-time student of Taika Seiyu Oyata. You may read more about Taika Oyata and RyuTe at the following website: http://www.kushu.com/

Her contact information:
Iowa RyuTe
Roberta Cochran-Zavitz
2918 E 18th St.
Davenport, IA 52803
319-359-4769

Hope this helps.

Respects,

Nothin' wrong with driving a couple of hours to Chicago once in a while. I already have a couple of students who do that. You are welcome anytime.

I was planning on that already David Image I'm one of another dave's students. Chicago would be closer than lincoln wouldn't it?
I wouldn't do it too often mind you, but it's good to know I'm not developing any bad habits when working on my own.
Thanks Image
