** Paul J. McLaughlin, D.C. Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain management & Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Back in the 1960's, Dr. McLaughlin was encouraged by a naturopathic physician to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated from Boston college with a biology (pre med) degree, continued with graduate studies in radiation biology and endocrinology then attended L;Universite Libre de Bruxelles Ecole de Medcine (Brussels University School of Medicine). While in Brussels he was mentored by a medical doctor in oriental medicine. He also studied Aikido, homeopathy, herbology, various styles bodywork, massage and energetic medicine. At this point, he decided to abandon ailopathic education. Returning to the United States, he attended New England School of Acupuncture, studied at the East West Institute, The Kushi Institute and with a variety of holistic practitioners. At the same time he worked in various emergency medical capacities in hospitals and taught emergency procedures to medical personnel.
The next step was Texas Chiropractic College. While in Chiropractic college, he also attended the University of Texas to pursue courses in nutritional chemistry. Since graduating, he has been certified as a Chiropractic Sports Physician and received a Diplomate from the American Academy of Pain Management.
Intrigued by stories about the effectiveness of magnets, for the last year and a half he has studied medical applications of magnets and has incorporated magnets in his practice.
In addition to musculoskeletal problems and nutritional therapies, he has a special interest in treating chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
