Role of IUKF
IUKF is defined
as an international fraternal group focusing on both amateur and professional
teachers and dojo. The organizations primary responsibility is to define
and enforce reasonable standards for the black belt ranks.
A secondary
role of IUKF is to certify dojo, instructors and "Shihan" specialist.
This involves training, testing and certifying all instructors in the
organization. High standards are expected and demanded for certification,
regarding all aspects of conduct and teaching, based on the IUKF codes
of conduct and ethics.
The IUKF
will support all legitimate dojo activities and training standards, providing
this focus does not violate the spirit of the IUKF codes of conduct and
ethics.
Mission
Build IUKF
into an organization that offers valuable services and monetary advantages
to its members. Members, by including their IUKF I.D. number with product
orders or on applications for events and seminars, will receive a member
discount.
Keys to Success
Build a prestige
factor into IUKF membership. Make the organization a place dojo and teachers
want to join.
Bring back
the prestige, normally associated with the black belt, through high standards.
Rebuild the
art of karate while building a well-rounded curriculum.
Establish
a credible black belt curriculum and standard, acceptable to the majority
of Uechi dojo and instructors.
Establish
a guide for sparring and training methods that focuses on technique and
control.
Establish
"instructor's" programs for the development of skills necessary
for a well rounded martial artist.
