The Test

Belt Rating

Effective, January 2007, the Board of Directors approved a new method of Black Belt Testing that returns the role of recommending and testing to the individual dojo. A Regional Test Administrator continues to handle all paperwork involved in the tests and is in charge to make sure all tests are conducted within the guidelines of the official Black Belt Test Guide manual, (e-Book) given to every new member of IUKF.

========================

Re-Certification of Black Belts All Dan ranks are permanent ranks, however, in order to accumulate time for the next rating, one must continue to practice actively in a IUKF Dojo.

Time-in-grade (TIG) is calculated in months studied. If a person actively works out six months a year for two years, he has accumulated only one year TIG towards his next promotion. It is the Instructor's responsibility to maintain accurate records regarding his student's workouts.
