Is there another thread or forum for dicussing the forum...

Itself? Namely the format.Would it be possible to force format the posts to take up the available window without scrolling-maybe make the tables bigger in the center and reduce the side tables? Im playing with the source code a little bit to see if I can make it look like that-not a lot of time right now since we are closing on our first home in a few weeks.

I just thought id bring it up and see if I was the only one with this opinion.

Also, if you would like to help out with any segment of the site, please send me a PM or email.

Actually, I am in agreement. I find it hard to read the Forum due to the wide left and right index margins. I love the choice of design and colors but find it difficult to read the Forum topics. Maybe the left one could be made smaller with smaller sized fonts and the right one could be moved to either the top or bottom of the page. I frequently have to move the bottom bar back and forth just to be able to read an entire post. There just doesn't seem to be enough room for the width of the content.

FWIW,

No trouble here. Once in a while a photo link will spread the page but that is rare. What system are you using?

OK, now I understand

what you are asking about...

On the home page, "Forums & Learning", click on "New Window". With display settings 1280 X800 (which is what I use on my laptop) there is lots of room to view the forums in the center "home page" frame.

What left and right index margins and frames is everyone talking about? When I'm on the forums, the forum page is all I see, there are no index margins or frames. And like Rich said, for me it's very rare to have to scroll to read any posts.

There must different 'view' versions of the forums, a frame version and a non-frame version, and all I've ever seen/used is the non-frame version. But then I've been using a saved Favorite to access the Forums for years, so if the links on George's main page have changed over the years to point to different formats, I wouldn't even know about them!

Excellent! Thank you, George. ......can we sing: I can see clearly now, the margins are gone.

Great! I never looked at the other links...

I had bookmarked the Forum link and just hit the button when I wanted to come in here directly.

My Apologies.
