Yep, I got 20 out of 20 without using any references. Give it a try to see how you do.

13/2065-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.

Try this one - under the "Take our quiz" part.

It will be interesting to compare results.

17 out of 20. Should have been 18 out of 20, but I didn't read one of the answers carefully enough.
Of course, I also earn at least part of my living teaching people how to beat multiple choice tests, and got a couple of answers using strategies applicable to the SAT, rather than actually knowing the answer.
Still, better than I expected. Go me.

18, which just goes to show you that test taking skills don't make you a decent citizen. I would prefer to see a functional test rather than a factoid test, in other words, information about how to use your rights and not about the year they were enumerated. WHY matters but less so what the first 13 states were.

When my grandparents applied for citiizenship they had to know as much about the US as a born and raised person did. Next, they had to have a working ability with the english language; speak, read and write since their Naturalization test was only in English, can't read and write in english; can't pass test. Back to Russia they would have to go. Back then they booted people out of the US or denied citizenship very quickly.
Funny in this country now it is my understanding the hispanics have their test available in spanish. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
That would be another subject beyond this thread to go into that.
